National Philanthropy Day Luncheon set for 2011
National Philanthropy Day is celebrated worldwide on November 15th and recognizes philanthropy's role in enriching lives. First held in 1986, it provides an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and its impact on thousands of causes and missions. Last year, more than 100 AFP chapters held NPD events and activities.
This year, AFP Palm Beach County Chapter will present the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon on November 16, 2011 at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. The luncheon will be co-chaired by Jack Lansing of Merrill Lynch and Suellen Mann of Palm Beach State College Foundation.
AFP Palm Beach County Chapter will recognize leaders in the categories of Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Philanthropic Private Foundation, Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation, Outstanding Philanthropic Corporate Foundation, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser and Outstanding Planned Giving/Legacy Honoree. These awards are a testimony to exceptional accomplishments in the name of giving.
