Fundamentals of Fundraising Course – September 27-28, 2010

The Palm Beach County Chapter will be one of the first AFP chapters in the nation to offer this course, on Monday, Sept. 27 and Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach. This new course is composed of seven modules that have been designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges that nonprofit organizations face every day. This 16-hour program includes case studies and projects for groups and individuals, making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable. The AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course offers a complete overview of the development function, featuring the most current information and techniques.

This intensive program will provide an overview of skills, techniques and program components for individuals with 0 to 4 years of fundraising experience. This may also include others who have responsibility for the development function such as: executive directors; vice presidents of development; program managers; special event coordinators; and leadership volunteers for nonprofits and foundations. The cost per person is $390 per person for AFP members or $490 for non-members. We are also offering five scholarships of $100 each for professionals working for organizations with budgets of $1 million or less.
